Stitch Markers
Please note: these pictures are examples, each of these are slightly different, but function the same.
These stitch markers are made from the end pieces of the leather, as such they vary in size and shape, and tend to have more marks on them than the body of the leather. They are great making sure that every bit is eventually used and help keep my waste extremely low.
Each set contains 12 markers. The size changes within the set, so please be aware you may get some larger and some smaller pieces.
The rings have a 9.5mm internal diameter, slipping easily over needles up to 7mm, and with more difficulty over needles any larger than that.
These pieces are entirely hand cut and assembled by myself.
They are lightly oiled to condition them, which also brings out the imperfections in the leather. You can oil them further if you want to darken the colour; I use hempseed oil, but any kitchen oil such as olive or sunflower seed oil will also work. Simply rub generously into the leather with a piece of fabric; note that if applied unevenly, it will even out over a few hours. Your leather will darken naturally over time, ageing nicely, especially if out in the sun.
